Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2015 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be showing you how to install the etrailer.com base plate kit. Before we do that, though, let's take a minute, check it out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. Before we jump right in, I figured it'd be useful just to kind of refresh ourselves on the main parts that we're gonna need to flat tow our GMC down the road in the first place. So you're gonna have your base plate, which gives us an attachment point. That way we can hook our tow bar up to it. more

Hi, John with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Roadmaster Base Plate Kit on our 2019 GMC Canyon. So if you're interested in towing your GMC Canyon there's five main components that you're really gonna need to get you set up and ready to hit the road. Number one, the base plate. This is gonna be the actual physical connection on your GMC that allows it to be linked up in the first place. Secondly, you're gonna need diode wiring or tow bar wiring. more

The baseplate is designed to allow you to flat tow your vehicle behind your motorhome. It's going to connect directly to the chassis of the vehicle and it's going to replace your tow hook. It's going to be one of the seven main components to flat tow the vehicle.The other six are going to be your braking system, your tow bar, the battery disconnect, a brake light switch or a stop light switch, your safety cable, and your wiring. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Canyon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit with removable arms. The base plate is going to give us a solid and reliable connection point to allow us to connect a tow bar to the front of our vehicle up to the back of the motor home, allowing us to flat tow it down the road. Today in our 2016 GMC Canyon. We're going to be installing a Roadmasters direct connect base plate kit. This base plate is going to give you an attachment point for tow bars so you can haul your vehicle behind your motor home. They're custom fit for your GMC Canyon and are going to be a replacement for the tow hooks that come pre installed in your vehicle. When not in use. The portion that connects to your tow bars is removable by pulling the pin, giving it a twist, and then sliding it out and now you're back to your factory look. more
